‘I Am Sophie’ is a viral horror-comedy interactive web-series that focuses on the titular character, Sophie and her life as the daughter of a millionaire businessman. The project explores the detrimental nature of being an online personality through the physical manifestation of horror. Whilst satirising new media tropes, the project forces its audience to understand that the way they engage with online content has consequences. The project has amassed 2.6 million views and 57k subscribers since the project’s launch in February 2020.
The project won First Prize at Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival for Best Television Pilot/Webisode.
